Automating quality for a global healthcare engagement platform
Frequent releases driven by healthcare compliance kept outpacing manual testing — with no scalable framework to catch regressions before they shipped.

A maintainable automation framework to keep pace with releases.
The client runs a global platform managing Speaker Bureau and Advisory programs for 1,000+ healthcare professionals.
Frequent, compliance-driven releases meant they needed a stable, scalable automation framework. Our brief:
- Frequent releases risked regression bugs without automated coverage
- No scalable, maintainable framework existed for complex HCP workflows
- Manual testing couldn't keep up with compliance and continuous delivery
Selenium with Cucumber on Java, so QA could write behaviour-driven tests in plain language, lowering the barrier for non-developer contributors while staying fully scriptable.
The suite runs on every build via Jenkins and Docker across three environments, giving the team immediate feedback on release readiness instead of a manual regression cycle.
Yes. Weekly reviews, demos, and hands-on training left the client's team equipped to maintain and extend the framework well beyond engagement.
Manual regression couldn't keep up with the release pace. We targeted the most time-intensive, error-prone scenarios with front-end automation and moved them into the pipeline. Regression stopped being the thing that held releases back.
A framework built to be owned, not just delivered.
STEP
01
Framework build
A custom Selenium + Cucumber framework on Java — behaviour-driven tests in plain language.
02
Coverage strategy
1,000+ cases across all six solutions and four products — regression, functional, and E2E.
03
CI/CD integration
Jenkins and Docker running the suite on every build across three environments.
04
Front-end automation
Automated the most time-intensive regression scenarios to cut manual effort and error.
05
Training & handover
Weekly reviews, demos, and hands-on sessions so the team can maintain and scale it.
Faster releases, deeper coverage, lower cost.
1,000+
Test cases created
Regression, functional, and end-to-end coverage across all six solutions and four core products.
80%
E2E UI automation
Critical HCP engagement journeys validated automatically before every release.
75%
Test cases automated
Automatic runs across three environments cut regression time and manual effort.
The bottom line
Zero production bugs reported by clients, faster release cycles, and $2,000 a month saved on regression, with a framework the client's own team now maintains.
